a little food journal. :)

Happy bee bakes! and cooks too!

Red date longgan tea with wolfberries.

I’ve bought A LOT of dried longgan when i went thailand previously, and we have lots of red dates in the fridge! so after researching that this tea is good and easy to cook, I’ve decided to cook it frequenctly at home. Did not include much info as you can search WHOLE lots of info when you type in “red date longgan tea”. :p

previously have tried using around

50g of red dates + 60g of longgan + 30g of wolfberries in 3 liters of water.

But mummy was saying there’s SO MANY RED DATES!

so this time round, i use ~20g of red dates + 40g of longgan + some wolfberries in 1.5 liters of water.

Hope the dried longgans will sweeten the tea more, and it is so yummy! beeboy said the previous time was not sweet enough as i didn’t add in any rock sugar, so depends on how sweet it is later!

Rock sugar can be added in according to your own taste. also for all the proportions as this is quite versatile. 🙂

After the water boils, turn the heat to low, and cook the red dates for ~10 mins, then throw in longgan and wolfberries (which hopefully improve my eyesight. 🙂  and simmer/cook on low heat for another ~30 mins. 🙂 then i cook for another ~20-30mins.
